Ephesians 1:1b November 7th, 2023

“I am writing to God’s Holy people in Ephesus, who are faithful followers of Christ Jesus.”

            “Holy People” We are God’s Holy People- which would be impossible if not for Jesus Christ. It is His righteousness that allows God to see us as holy, and holy we must be to enter the gates of heaven.

“Faithful Followers” - A demonstration of loyalty and trust in God’s promises, even in the face of adversity or temptation. “Faithfulness is a reflection of our relationship with God.

Being a faithful follow of Christ means so much more than the average “I believe in God” moment… It’s more like the “I believe in God no matter what” moment. It’s the difference between those who walk away and those who don’t. It’s choosing to believe even when it makes no sense and your world is upside down, yet you continue to believe that God is who he says he is. The choice to believe even when you don’t feel his spirit, comfort or understand Him. Oh, how I know this meaning. How God has taught it to my heart. How difficult it is to learn but worth learning.
